Permissions Setup for Folders and Files

Hi,

So I have a folder structure like so,

Folder1 - Files.

I want my Folder1 to be able to allow my domain users to access and view the files, but not delete any of them. Also I would like it so that the file owner (which should be the one who creates the file, but it is not showing that in my case) to have full access to a file until it is 1 day old.

If you guys have any suggestions as to how you would go about doing this it would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Hi Daniel,

I can't understand your above requirement, could you explain it more ?

If you want the domain users can access Folder1 and view the files but can not delete any files, you just need to  assign read only permission to these users.

So I have an excel template in the folder with all the files which users should be able to open, edit and save into the same directory. So far they can just open and edit if, but cannot save because of permissions. The other requirement I wanted was that I want the owner of the file to have full control of the file that they save out from the excel template. Other users will only be able to view that file.

Regards,

Dan
