Permissions
I have 2 Win 7 computers networked and want to share a printer and docunents, I have homegroup turned off can see the folders on both computers but cannot access them I get the message Windows cannot access the folder, what's the solution? Thanks Bob

There are several aspects that influence the sharing: 1. For sharing at least one port should be opened. It is port 445. On the other side, when you ask for visibility, the "legacy" 137-139 ports should be opened. 2. User credentials should be localy known on both computers and these computers are in the same workgroup, otherwise you should specify the computer name in accessing shared resources. Regards Milos

Hi, I suggest you perform the following steps to resolve this issue: 1. Disabled the firewall 2. Under share permisssions - everyone was given full permissions.
