Permanantly deleting messages
I am trying to permantly delete messages out of my search folders. Even though I delete them at some time, when I go to receive like messages in the search all folders box, all of those deleted messages return which makes it hard to sort out what I am looking for. If I try to delete from there, it puts a line thru them but after a while the line goes away and they remain there1 person needs an answerI do too

If you see a line being placed through the messages, it means you are using an IMAP account. IMAP accounts don't delete messages when you click Delete. They mark them for later deletion, signified by the overstrike. If you want to delete them, you must purge them. Exactly how depends on your mail client and you didn't state which mail client you're using, so I'll leave that as your homework: investigate your mail client's help to see how to purge messages.Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]
