People receiving my email attachments are not receiving them as Word documents.
People receiving my email attachments are not receiving them as Word documents. It shows up as a .DTF file or when double-clicking on it, it opens into Notepad displaying all numbers and not the document. I'm using Outlook Express 6. I do have Microsoft Office 2007 but not using it for my emails because when I installed it I was sure how to configure it to get my emails into it. I changed a configuration under Tools, Options, Send and updated the Mail Sending Format to Plain Text. That didn't help!

I am having the same problem with receiptions not being able to received or open and attachments. I am using Microsoft 7 with Outlook 2010, on a new DELL Computer and no one seems to care. Need Help
