Right click on your pen drive and chose Explorer instead of open. Then go to tools and folder option and unhide files and also protected files then look for something like "Autorun.inf" and remove itThen take out your pen drive and back hiding option to normal to hide and then wait for a few minute and reinsert your removable media.

It is heppening on several computers around me and no pen drives are working on those particular systems. However, on other systems it is working properly and showing all the data in the pen drive. I have tried many solutions, like accessing thru Command Promt, defregmenting, name change, virus scan, registry edit, explore, etc. etc. as suggested at various sites. Nothing works. Also there is no Autorun.inf or any ext with this file name. Kindly help.

Autorun.inf would be hidden make sure you enable show hidden and protected hidden files. The PC that you mention won't working , try to run full scan in their PC , NOT pen drive only. You could try this website:http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htmIf they are working in other systems and NOT your systems , there is a problem with that system, update it too. Also try to run this tools in those PC that have problem:http://support.microsoft.com/gp/hardware_device_problems
