Pathping stops the exploration.
Using pathping I found that it stops the exploration if one of the hosts on the route does not respond to ICMP requests. Is it a bug or an inherent property of this programm? I would like to see whole path to destination IP like it shows tracert if it's possible. Thanks, Anton.

Hi, Like tracert PathPing uses Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) over TCP/IP. Many firewalls will block ICMP traffic by default. If an attacker is able to forge ICMP redirect packets, he or she can alter the routing tables on the host and possibly subvert the security of the host by causing traffic to flow via a path you didn't intend. For more information, please refer to the link below: traceroute Note: The third-party product discussed here is manufactured by a company that is independent of Microsoft. But how can I use pathping utility on paths with routers blocking ICMP traffic by default?
