Passwork protected screensaver doesn't work in Windows 7
Hi, We have a screensaver domain policy where the screensaver is invoked after 5 mins of inactivity. The computer getslocked as & when the screensaver is active. It works with Windows 200 Pro & XP systems but it doesn't work with Windows 7 Enterprise clients. The computer doesn't get locked & even the screensaver doesn't come up.I checked a few forums & as per the suggestions updated the hardware drivers, changes the power options etc but nothing seems to work. Can anyone please help....?

I have tried various methods to get windows to go to log in screen. The only methog that seemed to work is as follows. Right click "Personalize", Screen Saver (bottom right hand corner), Leave the screen saver drop down menue at "3D Text", Check off the box that says "On resume, display logon screen". Click "Settings..." (beside the "3D Text" drop down menue). Click "Time" (top left hand corner), rather than "Custome Text", Click "Ok", then click "Ok" again and it should work. I tried it with the text it didn't work, but with time it seems to work. If I firgure out why the text doesn't work I'll let you know.

Hi,If screensaver is not started, this is not related to settings. There is any program keep running in background so screensaver think the computer is still at work. As screensaver cannot be started, we will not get the logon screen. You can find a computer in problem, disable all third party programs including security programs to see if it will get into screensaver. Also you can unplug mouse and keyboard as a test. Sometimes mouse driver will cause such issue.Clean Boot steps can help do the narrow down thing. Please refer the steps for Windows Vista.
