Password for Wireless router won't fit in space provided
I am trying to connect to my home wireless network. Everyone in the house uses a password that is 9 characters long, but the space only allows for 8 characters, so the password doesn't work. About a week ago I tried and tried and eventually was directed to a new screen with no limit on the amount of characters for the password. But then my computer crashed and I had to restore it to a later date. Is there a way for me to go directly to this screen where I can enter a longer password? I have been trying forever and its not seeming to work. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!Drew1 person needs an answerI do too

The error message I receive says "The device PIN is usually eight digits long and printed on a label on the device or on its display." However, I know that the PIN is 9 characters, but it won't let me type past 8 characters.

HiIt is not clear what is that you are talking about. Are you talking about entries in the Router. What PIN has to do with Wireless Password?Restricted to 8 charades probably means that whatever menu entry that you looking at is restricted to Hex number instead of text. When I pull up "Connect to a Network" and click on our wireless network, it says "Type the PIN from Linksys Router to configure it." But when I type the pin, it won't allow me to type past 8 characters.

HiIt seems to me that you are using some non-standard Wireless program, Windows Wireless native logon does not come with such message. It is hard to give advice when I do not know what software is used for Wireless logon.Be patient may be some else is familiar with an interface like yours.
