Password Re-Set
My husband died recently, and I am trying to sort out his affairs. In this internet age most of his correspondence etc is on the PC, which is password protected. We have Windows 7 Home Premium installed. I haven't been able to find a password re-set disk
- or work out what his password might have been. We have a home server, for which there is a PC restore disk, but I am assuming this would restore data held on the home server relevant to that PC rather than enable me to re-set the password? As you might
have gathered, this is all new to me as I have never really had much to do with PC's, so any help you can give would be gratefully received. Thank you.

start in safe mode by hitting the F8 key as you start the PC..you must do it fast just as windows starts to load.
once in starts in safe mode you should see the administrator login, try to log in as admin with no password if that works you can reset his password.

Thanks for your help. I haven't managed to get this to work yet - perhaps I'm not fast enough, but will try again.
