I have a computer running XP Pro that I received from a company Iu sed to work for that no longer exists. I was hooked up to a server and there was a password expiration setting that now want me to change my password. As I am no longer hooked to that server... How do I disable this request. I suspect there's a regedit for me to achieve this, but where is it and what is the setting?? Thanx1 person needs an answerI do too

You really should do a clean install, but if that is not practical you can change the password expiration by going to Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Users and Groups>Users. Double-click on your user name and put a checkmark in the box next to "Password never expires". Apply/OK out.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
