Partition Problems, The system cannot find the file specified
http://i39.tinypic.com/3585ulj.jpg hi, i went to split my c: in half, which worked, and i had 140gb of unallocated space remaining, then i went to create a simple volume and assigned a driver letter and file system, but after it finished it just showed up as blank, for the driver letter and file system, and when i try to assign one, or delete it, or format it, it gives me the errors in the picture. also before this happened, the color above the volumes where blue, but now they are that yellow/brown color. ive tried everything and search for hours trying to fix this, using other partition programs, but cant fix it i really dont want to have 140gb i cant use. please help thanks

How did you format and part the disk originally? Did you use any third party tools? I just suspect that the whole partition table cannot be read by the disk management tool in Windows 7 because of software compatibility issues.Arthur Xie - MSFT
