Partial Media File inaccessible in Windows 7.
I have to upgrade the application running in Xp to run in Windows 7. Problem: The application uses FTP to transfer huge media files and start playing in WMPlayer simultaneously after a certain % has been downloaded. This worked in Xp but doesn't in W7. I get an error stating "File already in use. Close other programs that might be using the file, or stop playing the file and then try again." Error Code C00D0FCF". Same error was encountered even with a normal shared folder. Can some one pls help me to enable the partial file access/play-back as its being downloading in W7. Its a crucial applcnt feature for the current W7 support release. Thanks.

Hi, It seems that you have missed out the name of what application you use. Please let me know what is the application.According to official explanation, Windows Media Player error C00D0FCF means Windows Media Player can't play or sync the file. I would like to confirm the following points:1.Is it a clean install or upgrade install of Windows 7? Did the issue occurs even since you first install Windows 7, or just appears recently?2.How did you try to login to your FTP server, the very application? 3. Windows 7 has build-in WMP 12 (the most updated version), does the application use this WMP?4.Is the application compatible for Windows 7 well? Check here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx In addition, you should check the connection settings of your application. If the issue happened after a couple of days’ fine working, maybe the issue is caused by DRM: http://arstechnica.com/microsoft/news/2009/02/oh-the-humanity-windows-7s-draconian-drm.ars And you can reset the DRM file to clean up the listed history. Good luck!

Greetings, According to my search, I found a program called Load Scout, which is a smart program designed to help you browse the web and FTP sites and enables you to download and listen a 20 second clip from each song to find the one you want. Is it exact your application? If so, please notice that Load Scout works under MS Windows 9x/NT/2000/Me/XP and integrates with Internet Explorer to help you get the information and preview files on the fly right from the browser window. So the issue may be caused by compatibility problem(either with IE 8 or with Windows 7). Since Load Scout has no version for Windows 7/vista ,the following steps can help you with program that isn't working properly:• Step 1: Try re-installing the latest version of program.• Step 2: Work with Compatibility Mode Make older programs run in this version of Windows.• Step 3: Try running the program using Windows XP Mode. Get more information in Install and use Windows XP Mode.
