Parental Controls doesn't log user off
I have Parental Controls set to allow my grandson to use the computer until 9:00 PM. When that time comes, it's like he clicked "Switch User". I'd rather it logged him off, since the music from the game he was playing is still going! Can't see a way to fix that in Parental Controls, don't want to have to disable Parental Controls and log him off every night. Is there a way the Administrator can log a user off from the command line? Thanks, Charles

Hi Charles,As you said, it will not be logged off when the time comes. I think it is for help avoid data loss. Here are 2 workaround which may be helpful. 1. Instead of changing settings is Parental Control, we can change the current time so that we can logon the other account and log it off.2. Setup a Task Schedule to run the command "logoff" before the time comes, so the account will be logged off.

Thanks for the reply Shaon, I like your option #2, and have also found that I can start Task Manager, Elevate it to Administrator by clicking "Show processes from all users", go to the Users tab, and log off any user from there.
