Paragon Hard Disk Manager 8.5 Special Edition, has anyone got it working with Win 7 Beta at all please?
Hi ALL,1) Paragon Hard Disk Manager 8.5 Special Edition anyone got it working with Win 7 Beta at all please?I have tried compatabilty settings too and it still refuses to start. :-(_______________________________________________________2) While I am here, anyone now how to add entries to the Boot.Ini ( is it ? ) for Win 7 Beta so that I can get my old WINDOWS XP programsback up and running please? These include GENUINE MS OFFICE 2007 ULTIMATE and GENUINE MS VISUAL STUDIO 2008 PROFESSIONAL EDITION.I have two older installs on the same C:\ drive in folders C:\Win_XP and another in C:\Windows_XPWin 7 Beta decided ( upon installation ) to move the older; Program Files , Documents and Settings Autoexec.Bat and Config.sysfolders and files from C:\Windows_XP to the new C:\Windows.old folder. As a possible temporary solution I was thinking of trying to add the registry entries from the 2 older folders to Windows 7 Beta ,is this possible?I am thinkingof partitoning off the remaining space and installing a LINUX distro and seeing if GRUB or LILO boot managers detect the older WINDOWS installations. My last course of action is cut my losses, backup what I can and remove Win 7 Beta and reinstall my laptop.Regards,John For links to VB.Net tutorials see here.>> http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vblanguage/thread/29f2179b-997b-4115-a96d-a0834853b835

Hi Mark,I have changed the thread type as no one answered in a manner that helped me fully solve all of the problems I was having. I think it was wishful thinking considering Microsof have changed the way WINDOWS boots with VISTA and WINDOWS 7 compared to older versions of WINDOWS and EASYBCD did not help either.I ended up reinstalling my laptop completely!!I am still having a few issues with WINDOWS 7 BETA that I need to report on.Thanks for the link though.:-)Regards,John
