I hve windows 8.1 and have had problems from day      one i installed a h/p printer it disappears for no reason what i send to it it won"t pprint  it...it will go offline,it willprint from my e-mail   and some days it won't   i can:t find where to change it back ------i lost the 8.1 tool bar at the bottom with the large icons and the best part was the faevorates that was te best part of 8.1 i alo can"fint how to get it back??????????????????????????And who ever designedthe angle approouch to turn to the page he must have been nut   on these item i would give you great cudosif you can help mme

Apart from ZigZag`s suggestion to run the command line to check the health of the system files.

We also can try to create a new account and login with it to verify whether this issue only occurred with this account. There is a possibility that the present account profile has corrupted.

For the printer issue, we can try to reinstall the printer driver from the device manager to have a check. It is recommended to download the driver from the HP website for the printer. Please turn off the Power save option from the printer driver properties.
We also can try to run the built-in troubleshoot tool to have an automatically diagnostic.
