the WAG 200g is a Combo DSL Modem/Router. It has to be connected directly to the tel line and the PPPOE is kept alive by typing the ID and password into the Router's WAN menu. The computer (or Windows) does not have to play part in the PPPOE setup and it initiation. Read the device's manual to find out how to type in the ID and PW. If you do not know them call your ISP.Jack, MVP - Networking.

Hi Armgame, I am glad to hear that the original issue has been fixed. I also notice that you have another issue about system freezing. This issue can be caused by the software conflict. You may try to narrow down the possible cause in Clean Boot. Since several issues have been involved in this thread, if you cannot find out the root cause in Clean Boot, I suggest that we split them into different threads to better understand the problem & reply for all community members, which will also make the whole thread clearer, concise and fast the reply for your reference. Good luck!Arthur Li - MSFT
