PPP communication cable betweeen two computers
Hi, We installed a modem (communication cable between two PCs) in order to use a PPP communication on a serial port (speed 115,2KBds). It is ok under XP but windows 7 , on the configuration of the connection, the hard flow control is enabled, we needed to disable it, we did it but each time we control it , it is enabled again; and so the connection failed with error 777.
regards.-- merci

Hi Merci,
Based on my test, to disable flow control on a network adapter, we can set the value of the following entry to 0:
Note: please perform a full system backup first.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0007\*FlowControl
Please check if it helps. If this doesn’t help, you can also find the changed value with Process Monitor:
Process Monitor v2.8
Since this issue is related to a specific device and we have limited resources about it, it is also recommended that you contact the device’s manufacture for further investigation.
Hope this helps. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT
