POPUP on disk defrag. states a request to run CHKDSK /F.
XP home, Have tried to run disk defrag. on hard drive that is divided in thirds. Popup from disk defrag states that "disk defragmentor has detected a scheduled c:\chkdsk scan. Please run chkdsk /f... So I go to command prompt c: to run chkdsk and get the following warning;Warning! F parameters not Specified. Running chkdsk in read only mode.chkdsk is verifing files (stage 1 of 3)...deleteing corrupt attribute record (1048704,"")from file record segment 84559.File verification completed.errors found. chkdsk can not continue in read-only mode."How do I change the parameters? How can I get chkdsk to run in fix/repair mode and not in read only?thanks3 people need an answerI do too
