PC Performance. SVCHost.exe
My PC , W XP v5.1, is running SVCHost.exe at around 50% CPU, and appears to be causing my PC to run very slow.. I am advised that theis programme runs the DLLs, and that one , or more of them is probably causing the problem . Would anyone know how I might identify running DLLS etc.? please.

Ronnie, I had a similar problem and ran the Process explorer. It's a great tool and I found the SVCHost that was eating up the CPU time. Problem then was finding the DLL or service that was actually causing the problem because the SVCHost I found was servicing a large number of DLL's and services. After significant trial and error, I found that installing a new driver for my wireless network solved the problem. But it was only through trial and error that I found the solution since it was not intuitively obvious that the wireless driver was the problem. Good luck.
