PC Frequently Crashes
My PC is constantly crashing! It can barely handle anything. It will crash in while I use many programs, including Microsoft Word 2010, Steam games, and even games that are played IN INTERNET EXPLORER!!! After I stay in certain programs for awhile, the computer just instantly shuts down. The power goes off, the screen goes black, and I have to turn it back on. When it comes back on, it gives me the black screen that says something about the PC unexpectedly shutting down. I have an Acer Aspire with Windows 7. Please help! Thanx in advanced! :)

You might want to check and see if your power supply is getting hot. Have you tried restoring it back to factory specs to see if that does anything?

What do you mean by factory specs? Also, I do notice the sides of the computer getting hot at times.

Hi, You are encountering an unexpected power down issue. Based on my expirence, it may be caused by hardware issue. Please check your Power Supply as suggested by Schloicka. Juke Chou TechNet Community Support

Factory specs is how the computer was when you bought it. It would be reverted back to how it came out of the box. I'd check the power supply 1st. Take the side off it and run it that way for awhile and you can just feel the power supply and see if it's extremally hot. See how long it takes to shut down. Also you can check and make sure the cpu fan is running too.
