PCAngel Taskbar Notifier
I would like to know what PCAngel Taskbar Notifier is and what it does. It comes up in the bottom right hand corner of my screen but I cannot read the whole box. The part that I can read is: ! Create In the event of a critical hardware to restore your system back to itsand that's all that I can read. I tried through task manager to maximize the screen and it doesn't do anything. Hi smartin0114, The Notifier is either a spyware or a third party program which you have installed on your computer. It is not a program associated with the operating system. Method 1:If the application is unknown to you the program itself can be a virus or malware. I would suggest you to use the windows safety online virus scans and check if you have virus or malware listed. You may refer to the below links for assistance –http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htmhttp://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.aspxMethod 2:If the pop up is appearing due to some program or application installed you may perform a clean boot and identify the application causing the issue. To perform the clean boot follow the step 1 mentioned in the below article and then check in this clean boot state- http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353If the issue gets resolved check which non-Microsoft service is causing the problem; referring to the article and following other steps. After you have finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:a. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.b. On the General tab, click the Normal Startup option, and then click OK.c. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Restart.Hope this helps. Thanks,Meghmala – Microsoft SupportVisit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think

Hello, I had the same problem & solved it by: go to control panel & make the screen size to 100%. The reason you can't see all of the "pop up" is because your screen is either at 125 % or most likely 150%. When you make the screen smaller you'll see Dell's full pop up where you can choose to NOT BE NOTIFIED AGAIN & click.. OK. BOB

If it is potential unwanted software you could try to run full scan with:http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htmAnd remove it.

Bob is 100% correct. It is not spyware; it is a utility from Dell. It has a flaw in that when you enlarge your screen (especially on full HD systems like mine) it shows up partially in the corner and cannot be moved or accessed. It also serves an important purpose for backing up your system, since Dell doesn't ship any system discs (e.g. the OS) with many of its computers.

baseball Bob, thank you. I have been rid of the Demonic PC Angel for half an hour now and hope he is permanently banished. Your instructions were perfect.
