Owner and Displayed Owner, Distribution Groups

I have some Distribution Groups which can be managed through Exchange by the owners. I have inbound Sync rules to import the changes to FIM. I am facing following issues in the process:

1) If a new owner is added to a group through Exchange, after import, I can see the the new user in the owner attribute, but the previous owner only in the Displayed Owner attribute (not as both owner and Displayed Owner). This causes the error in the FIM portal when I open the group "Please select a displayed owner among the owners above".

2) If an owner adds a new owner to the group through exchange, and if the new owner comes above in the list in alphabetic order, then the new owner is set as the Displayed Owner in FIM after import (the displayed owner gets changed).

how can I address these issues? Any help will be appreciated.

Did you map both attributes in AD MA?

Yes I did.

Actually, I have import flow rules in the portal. And both the mappings are there.

Is the data flowing? can you look in MV.  Make sure precedence is in order and all

Yes, the data is flowing in both directions with equal precedence. Addition or deletion of users from each of FIM and AD is carried forward to the other system.

What I was asking was, "have you verified that the data is flowing correctly". If I look in the MV, do I see the data in Portal MA having correct owner and displayOwner?

If you open the group in Advanced View, do you see the right data?

In AD, there are managed by and owners and they are exclusive sets. So, when they are imported, both in MV and FIM I see the exclusive sets. But in FIM, managed by user(displayed owner in FIM) should be a part of the owner too.

Can you please take a screen shot of one of them in MV view, and show me the connector for FIM MA. I was to see the actual data, not the hypothesis.

How about the stuff in Text, I asked for?

What I am trying to say is, "How do we know the data is flowing properly to FIM Portal?"

If add/delete a member/owner in the AD to/from the group, after the Import flow I can see the same (added/deleted) in the FIM portal. This part is working fine. After that:

In AD: managed by- B, msExchCoManagedByLink - C, D

In the connector space: managed by- B, msExchCoManagedByLink - C, D

In the MV: displayedOwner- B, owner - C, D

In FIM: displayedOwner- B, owner - C, D (Here FIM gives error: B should be owner too)

How is this answering my question, "Is data flowing correctly to FIM Portal?"

Please see this diagram.  I need to know what the data looks like for that group, right there.

In the above example, if I add E as another owner in AD, then we see E is added as an owner in FIM portal after import. So data is flowing correctly to FIM portal.

Please check if you attribute Displayed Owner  is mapped in FIM Service MA attribute flow?

As i understand your setup it should be mapped both ways (import and export).

Thanks,

Mann
