Hi I don't think there is a way to accomplish this? I think the best strategy would be to simply disable the 'Lock Workstation' options. Just curious, how do youhave the students user accounts configured? Do they all have their own, individual user accounts with distinctive passwords? Hope this helps. Each Student has their own login. We allow locking of the workstation so when the student gets up to do research or something else other student won't improperly use their accounts. This was option in XP why did they get ride of it?

user="WisconsinAce"] Each Student has their own login. We allow locking of the workstation so when the student gets up to do research or something else other student won't improperly use their accounts. Are the students accounts password protected? It seems like this would be enough to prevent anyone else from unlocking the system and using their accounts. This was option in XP why did they get ride of it? You can still get the old style XPlogin dialog where you can enter any user name and password to log onto the computer, but FUS must be enabled to do this and any user can login,so this will not solveyour currentproblem. In the Group Policy Editor. Computer Configuration/Windows Settings/Security Settings/Local Policies/Security Options. Enable the policy,Interactive Logon: Do not display last user name. When the system is locked, press the FUS button and you will get the old style login dialog where you can enterany user name and password to logon.
