Outlook says I must be administrator to make change--I'm the sole administrator
I'm running Outlook 2007 in Windows 7. Outlook started slowing considerably recently. Ran in safe mode and had no speed issues. I believe issue is tied to add-ons. In particular, want to remove "COM addin for Microsoft
Hotmail connector." Tried to remove it and other recent add-ons, but I get message which says "add-on is installed for all users, only an administrator can make this change." There are 3 other users, but I am the only administrator,
and I am trying to make the changes signed in as me. Any ideas as how I can remove this add-on?
Thank you.

When you lauch the Componet Services .msc while using 'Run As Administrator', do you still get the same issue?
Just a heads up, your account might be a member of the Administrators group, or the sole admin as you put, but it doesn't actively use the highest level of access so you'll want to see if you can launch that app using he Run As Admin option.

Recent update KB2412171 has caused an Outlook 2007 slowdown See
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/outlook/archive/2010/12/17/issues-with-the-recent-update-for-outlook-2007.aspx. Bottom line, uninstall KB2412171. See the article for uninstall directions.
