An automatic security update was installed last night, after which Outlook cannot successfully start. The error displayed is: Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The system is a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with Office 2007 Ultimate that's been up on this load for about 48 hours. The system previously ran Vista Ultimate x64 with Office 2007 Ultimate for over a year. I've rebooted the system, used Recovery to back up to the restore point just prior to the security update, uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook, all to no avail. Any recommendations?Robert Wood

Had the same issue, go to Start menu & type the following into the "search/run" dialog box: Outlook.exe /resetnavpane
