Hi Fonz007,1. Did you install either Office 2007 or 2010?2. Do you get any error message when you activate spell check? If you have installed the 2007 Microsoft Office system or Office 2010, you no longer have spell checking capabilities in some languages when you use Outlook Express 6.0.For more information and solution, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932974If you've not installed Office 2007 or 2010, then use F7 key to check spell and see the difference. If the issue still persists, then see Spelling checker does not run on message in Outlook Express (also applicable for outlook express 6)Visit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think.
