Outlook Won't open.
When I attempt to open my outlook I continue to get: Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. I've attempted to reinstall Office 2007. I've done everthing listed on the Microsoft support page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/252304#FixItForMeAlways I've run the fixit app. Still outlook won't start. This started about 1 week ago. What else can I do? Thanks 1 person got this answerI do too

Try the restetnavpane switch. Start Run Outlook.exe /resetnavpane If that doesnt help use the mail applet in the control panel, to create a new profile, add your data file and the accounts, set it as default, do not copy the profile PS Uninstalling / reinstalling rarely cures an OL problem and wont help with a corrupt profile

I had the same problem today.I created a new profile and Outlook works under my new profile, but I don't have access to all of the data from the previous profile.

This is a different problem that should have been posted to its own thread. You can simply add your old data to the new profile using the Data Files button in the Mail profile in Control Panel.Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]------------------------------If a reply helps, please vote it as helpful. I tried Start-Run-Outlook.exe/resetnavpane and I get an error message that Windows can't find Outlook.exe/resetnavpane. Also, I don't know how to create a new profile, etc. I have Outlook 2007, Windows XP. Advise.

I have the same problem. This happened on 12 December 2010. Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.I removed Outlook and re-installed. No Help.I worked with the COSTCO techs for 2 days. Finally they said it was a Microsoft issue. Got me on the phone with Microsoft. MS said I had maleware, a polymetric virus. For their $200 plan they could remove it and fix my problem.I recently renewed my Norton and included the protection insurance. Chatted with them. They worked on it about 2 hours and said the problem isn't with Norton.COSTCO had me install Malwarebytes. No maleware found. I'm thinking about purchasing the full program and see if there is a solution. I used my external hard drive on my daughter's computer, attempting to open my e-mail. Quickly cancelled realizing it wouldn't help with my e-mail. Now her computer, when it boots up, says 'updating # of #'. There is definately something in my Outlook pst, which is not my Inbox pst.Considering reformatting Hard drive and re-installing.All suggestions accepted, gladly.
