Outlook Express stuck in receiving mail mode
I am using Outlook Express 6 with Windows XP Service Pak 3 and my Outlook Express 6 is stuck in receiving mail mode. When I click on the inbox folder it just goes into Not Responding. I have verified that my login information is correct in my email profile. I have tried to restart the computer to get rid of the problem and it is still not working. The last time I shut down my computer I got a popup box that stated "Outlook Express 6 FolderSync Window was open even though I had forced closed Outlook Express. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Open OE and go to Tools | Options and uncheck the send and receive at startup option. Then close OE and reopen it and see if you can then access the inbox. If you can't then you may need to delete folders.dbx.
