Outlook Express has stopped working.
In Dec 2009 I changed from Wide Open West ISP to AT&T. They did not follow thru. I changed to ComCast and then Outlook Express stopped working after their tech loaded ComCast onto my computer. Angry, I called WOW and switched to them again but now with their full package. Now since ComCast, Outlook express defaults each time I try to send an email. I've deleted all of the AT&T and ComCast programing that I can find but to no avail, I still can't get it to run Outlook Express. I've reset my mail settings and my POP settings but nothing works...!! Here is the default response:Unable to logon to the server using Secure Password Authentication. 1: Are you sure Secure Password Authentication should be checked? I see no mention of that in any WowWay Google results. Try without it. If still no joy, recheck it until you're sure whether it is required or not.2: 550 is a relaying refusal message. If the above didn't help, it would appear that you are not connected directly to WowWay, but going through another server that will not relay the message to WowWay.http://www.insideoe.com/problems/errors.htm#relay550 Bruce Hagen MS-MVP [Mail]
