Outlook Express and Mime Format
I receive emails that sometimes appear in a MIME format 1. affected emails are from different (trusted) senders 2. the MIME format usually appears the SECOND time I open the message, the first time the message appears normal, altho' MIME is sometimes present the very first time I open the message. 3. This is a new problem, there is no consistancy in terms of frequency. 4. Example: This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0035_01CAE2B6.C9DE1320 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" ContðeüàeàeTransfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Windows XP 1 person needs an answerI do too

One common (but not the only) cause of issues with MIME decoding in email is having your antivirus program configured to scan incoming and outgoing messages. As an experiment, uninstall your AV program and reinstall it without the mail scanning feature. You will be just as safe.Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]
