Are you actually using Outlook Express? This is a Windows 7 forum. Is this a spam message? If you look at the message source of a few of these e-mails, (Ctrl+F3), you will probably see that the address is not exactly the same for each one making Blocked Senders useless. You may find message rules to be a bit more effective. Some Message Rule tipshttp://www.insideoe.com/tips/rules.htmControlling Junk Mail in Outlook Expresshttp://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/community/columns/junkmail.mspxMessage Rules not working?http://www.insideoe.com/faqs/why.htm#rules For Outlook Express questions, pleas ask here in the future.XP - Networking, Mail And Getting Online Forumhttp://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/xpnetwork/threadsBruce HagenMS-MVP Oct. 1, 2004 ~ Sept. 30, 2010Imperial Beach, CA

Bruce,Thank you for sending the information and the link concerning "Some Message Rule Tips"! This at least allowed me to set up an automatic delete of the incoming email based on the subject line. Once you go to tools, message and emails, it allows you to delete the email for various reasons. My best course of action was to type in the subject line and then apply the rule. Once the automatic delete took place, I then periodically deleted my delete file. To give you an idea of what was happening; there was one repeated email that would come 13,000 +, at a time. I would look at my inbox and on the bottom it would state "Receiving message 243 of 13,347. These would come in rapid succession and this group of 13000 + happened about 7 or 8 times, so you can understand how many emails I received. I called my friend, whose email was the culprit and they were having problems with their computer. The email I received was not malicious; they just couldn't stop it from sending. After setting the email in "from", I had to wait until the entire group download was complete, and delete everything in their folder, again about 7 or 8 times, that is until you sent me the information. Thanks again,Mike

Glad it is at least partially resolved.Did your friend fix the problem on his/her end? If he is using Outlook Express, they could have a damaged Outbox, simple to fix. Or a stuck message in the Outbox for any e-mail client. All that may take to fix is to remove it while working offline. Also, scanning e-mail, incoming and outgoing, slows down the process and can cause problems like this. It should be disabled by you and your friend.Bruce HagenMS-MVP Oct. 1, 2004 ~ Sept. 30, 2010Imperial Beach, CA
