Go to the TalkTalk Webmail site. Can you log in using the same user ID and password you have in your OE account settings? They must be identical.Bruce Hagen ~ MS-MVP [Mail]

Yes I can, spent a couple of hours on the phone to talk talk and tiscali and they both say that I need to talk to microsoft and change the settings...?I had outlook express set up using tiscali and now they say I need to set it up using talktalk.

According to your error message, you did set up OE for TalkTalk. However, you also said you have the same e-mail address as when you has Tiscali. That makes no sense as your new address would be Janedoe @talktalk.net and your old one would have ended in @tiscali.net or .uk, or .com, etc. Did you ever change that? How do I set up my TalkTalk email in Outlook Express?http://www.talktalk.co.uk/help/email/how-do-i-set-up-my-talktalk-email-in-outlook-express.htmlHow do I create a TalkTalk email address?http://www.talktalk.co.uk/help/email/how-do-i-create-a-talktalk-email-address.htmlTalkTalk Absolute Beginners Forumhttp://www.talktalkmembers.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=38Bruce Hagen ~ MS-MVP [Mail]

Great thanks. They said is was a microsoft problem!Of course they did. They always do. Is it an incorrect setting in Outlook Express? Most likely it is. But it is up to them to tell you what the problem is since they are the ones that designate the settings you need to use.The error codes you posted are password related. At the very least, ask them to reset your password or change it completely for OE and Webmail.Bruce Hagen ~ MS-MVP [Mail]
