No. When I click on sed/receive "button" on top of page, the button stays "down" and the header above address box eventually says "not responding" and a pop up message about needing to close etc...

See if the problem persists in a new identity.You may have a damaged identity especially if it is the default Main Identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new one and test it.
