Outlook 2007 Security Concern
I was asked to reinstall Office Professional 2007 (using the retail upgrade version) by a client who had been having trouble with viruses as a result of some sleazy tech work done for him in the past. What I need to do is to find a way to start over with a blank 'Outlook.pst' file (located in User\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook) that will allow me to re-enter the contacts, and then import certain folders that were backed up onto their own .pst files. One of the previous techs had enabled the vCard option, and a blank contact had been used to send out spam emails to the point where my client's ISP had contacted him regarding it.Any info will be appreciated.

I opened Outlook and then deleted the 'Outlook.pst' file from the default location. It's telling me that it can't find the file when I click on the folders, but I am still able to access the account setup process. Will this help?

Hi acwright, please understand that we mainly discuss Windows Vista issues in this forum. As your issue is related to Office, we are not the best resource to troubleshoot it. I suggest discussing this issue in our Office newsgroup. Office newsgroup http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.office.misc&lang=en&cr=US
