Task Whiteline-Sending reported error (0x800CCC80) : None of the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your server. I called my server , who is cox.net, and they said it was a outlook issue and around and around we go.

I have the same problem, and Cox is my server also. I thgink it IS their issue, and they dont want yto own up to it .

First if you have integrated anti virus scanning with Outlook, uninstall that AV, reboot the PC, retest Outlook. With certain AV apps its also wise to use their 'completely remove tool' available on their web site.You can reinstall the AV but *without* the outlook integrationThen if still no goCheck the smtp settings carefully with those shown on your ISP help pages, in particular as to whether smtp authentication is requiredFinally if still no go create a new Mail Profile - do not copy old - re-enter your mail account settings carefully
