Orphaned Group Account

Hi,

I have a security group that is having an owner as Orphaned Group Account. I suspect this is due to the user had left the company. Is there any way to change the owner to an active user instead?

Hi Valerie,

If you have a FIM portal, you can easily change it with the OOTB form for Group.

  1. You have to go to the FIM Portal and click on "Security Group".
  2. Search for your group by using the search option.
  3. Click on the group name to open the form
  4. Go to tab Owner
  5. Change/Add owner by typing a user account name and click on the validation button
  6. Validate the form

Hi Sylvain,

Yes this will work for a normal SG. However for this SG, the owner has left the company and as the only owner, it became an orphaned group. Hence the field has been greyed out. This is the reason why i am checking if there is any other work to make the changes.

Regards,
Valerie

Normally, you can do this with the FIM Administrator.
