Operation failed with error 0x0000052e - Printer not connecting
I'm attempting to connect a printer to my desktop. I am connected to the same network the printer is on. It's just not connecting. I have detection and network sharing turned on so that I should be able to connect to it. Really need help with this. Thanks in advance.

Hi,Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet Forum.Error 0x0000052e indicates that your network configuration may isn't correctly. To troubleshoot this kind of issue, I would like to propose the following suggestions:1. Make sure that both systems configure printer sharing correctly and belong to the same network group. Please refer to the following website to put computers in the same workgroup.http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Networking-home-computers-running-different-versions-of-Windows2. Check network connectivity status, can you access files on theother computer? You can perform a ping command to access the other computer and see if it works. Meanwhile, please also try to temporarily disable Windows Firewall and anti-virus security software then connect the printer again.Generally, we will visit the following website on installing printer on a home network in Windows 7. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Install-a-printer-on-a-home-networkBest Regards.Dale Qiao

I have a slightly different setup and your method doesn't work for me. I connect over a WLAN acces through a CheckPoint VPN-1 SecureClient to our corporate network. I can access Exchange and mount Disk Drives, but I can't get the printers running. Getting the same error message as above. Thx for your Help Andreas
