Opening offline files after logging on with wireless switch on doesn't work?
I'm hoping someone can give me some idea of what's going on here. Here's the setup: I have a user with a Dell Latitude E6500 laptop running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit on a domain. He has his My Documents folder redirected to a network share (the H: drive). He also has that folder set up to be available offline. This enables him to take his laptop home at night, work with his files, come back to work in the morning and it automatically syncs with the network folder. Here's the problem: When he's off the work network and logs in with his wireless switch (the physical one on the side of the laptop) in the on position he can't access the the H: drive. It doesn't even show up. But if he logs in with the wireless switch in the off position, the H: is available and all is well. He's then able to turn the wireless switch on and access the internet as well as his H: drive. What I've tried: I've added the FormatDatabase registry key. I've disabled Dell ControlPoint from managing the wireless connection. I disabled and then reenabled Sync Center. I've removed the Always available offline checkbox and readded it. I've deleted the Temporary Files in Sync Center. The user doesn't want to have to deal with turning the switch off and on (I know, it's not that much work. But he's an executive, I at least have to try :) ) So if you can tell me what to change to make this work that would be great. If not, maybe you can tell me it's not possible and why so I have something to tell him. Thanks for any help!!

Hi, According to your description, the network configuration is fine as it did work after a switch. I would suggest create a new account to test the issue. If the issue persists, this could be an issue of priority on the hardwire side. It is recommend to contact the manufacture and ask more accurate information of their network card technology on the motherbard. In additon, you can reset BIOS as a test.
