When i installed Windows XP and Vista it asks for Owners name and info. And most programs when you install them Take that and put that as the owner name. but when i installed windows 7 it never asked for my name or anything, so when i installed some programs it used my User account on the computer and sometimes Microsoft.

If you want to change it, open the registry and navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion From there, you can modify string value RegisteredOwner and RegisteredOrganization keys. Of course, the normal caveats apply whenever directly modifying the registry.
