One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because either: 1) Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page, or 2) You have blocked a publisher of one of the controls
Okay this problem started a week ago. When computer first starts or reboots ( I haven't opened any program yet!) I get this message,One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because either: 1) Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page, or 2) You have blocked a publisher of one of the controlsI know this usually happens with internet explroer but like I said I haven't even opened anything yet. i have enabled all active X controls in internet explorer with no luck. I have searched the web for active x and blocked publisher forums and followed all instructions for the error message (most of them refer to enabling active x) but with no luck. I am an advanced user (15+years) but this one has stumped me. If I try to open "Services" I get the same error. When I open my anti virus, it opens but it is just a blank page. I know my anti virus is working though. Also if i open internet explorer I get a blank page, if I go to a site (type it in or go to my favourites) it works fine. I deleted all temp, history, cookies etc. etc. (use CC Cleaner and other programs for clean up) but when reopened again it says blank. If i use help and want to view a help subject it says ( cannot display because of congestion or network trouble, check connection) but internet works fine. I know I don't have a virus (many people in forums think this) I have scanned with Bitdefender, Eset Nod32, Super Anti Spyware pro, Malaware Anti Malawarebytes, Spybot, Stopzilla, etc. etc. and did not find one virus (In SAFEMODE) There are alot of other people on the web having same problem, (with the same and some with different programs). This problem seems to be random ( does not affect a certain program) I have been trying for a week now and am stumped!! Anybody have any ideas I haven't heard yet???Thanks if you do!! 1 person needs an answerI do too
