One for the history books
My day was going great until...
I deleted the partitions on a bitlocker encrypted HDD (Vista).
I installed Win7 on the HDD.
How can I recover the data from the original, encrypted partition. I have the bitlocker key.
Any suggestions are much appreciated!

If you indeed deleted the original, encrypted partition, it no longer exists. There is no way I'm aware of to recover data from a non-existing partition, sorry!

Hi,
When a file is deleted from your computer, its contents aren't immediately destroyed. Windows simply marks the hard drive space as being available for use by changing
one character in the file table. If you manage to start an undelete process before Windows overwrites that part of hard disk with new files. You can set that flag back to "on" and get your file.
As I know, you could download some free data recovery software and may recover the deleted files. I would like to share some recovery software with you.
Please noteStop
using the current disk as main disk, please keep it unchangeable before recovering the files. Ensure to recovery the files to another hard disk.
Panda Recovery
TOKIWA DataRecovery
Undelete Plus

Basically, if you are not familiar with above application, I highly recommend that you contact Data Recovery Company for support.
