Update KB2589345 32-bit edition freezes up my update session. After the update is downloaded and installation begins.....the bar is about two-thirds complete, then the install ceases and the computer is frozen. Attempts to stop the installation are ignored. I can only regain control by forcing a hard reboot. The update remains in the queue and will will attempt to install again on shutdown. I was able to installl all its companion updates one at a time manually until this one remians. I would like to just delete it but can find no instruction to do so. Deselecting it for install does not work. Attemtping to do a System Restore does not work as the update takes control of the computer on reboot. The end result is I cannot shutdown my computer normally. Any suggestions?
