One Click Google Chrome Installation
All: I'm a bit new to Windows 7 and XP security but I was fascinated by how Google is doing their Chrome installation located here: http://www.google.com/chrome It appears that with one click in IE they are able to download the app and execute the app without any other prompts. How are they getting around the following: Instantly downloading the application Is it possible to do this for System Wide installs or just Single User Installs? No installation security prompt "Allow", nothing... Would love to learn more or if someone is interested in taking on this challenge for some of my software packages. Brett

Instantly downloading the application Off hand I believe this only works if Google already has an ActiveX control installed but I'm actually not 100% sure, I prefer the EXE based installers. 2. Is it possible to do this for System Wide installs or just Single User Installs? Single user installs. 3. No installation security prompt "Allow", nothing... Chrome is installed within the user's profile and not in a shared location so no additional rights are needed.
