Once more a sleep problem
Hi again, this time I will try to describe my problem better. I have a computer based on a Asus AT3N7A-I, Windows 7 running on it. The setup has the function of a home server. The only thing connected to the Asus AT3N7A-I, is 3 hard disc's and the network cable. To save electricity the pc goes to sleep after 30 min, the function wakeup on lan is enabled. My problem is that after the computer goes to sleep, it wakes again after several seconds. I did all the thinks Linda Yan recommends, uninstall all unnecessary devices, clean boot and so on. The powercfg command got me this infrmation: POWERCFG /DEVICEQUERY wake_armed = Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller POWERCFG -lastwake = ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wake History Count - 1 Wake History [0] Wake Source Count - 1 Wake Source [0] Type: Device Instance Path: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0AC6&SUBSYS_83F91043&REV_B1\3&267a616a&0&A8 Friendly Name: Description: PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge Manufacturer: (Standard system devices) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When i try to disablewake the PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge DEVICEDISABLEWAKE "PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge" i get the answer "You do not have permission to enable or disable device wake." Can some one tell me what is 'PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge' exactly? I am fustrated looking forward to hear from some one. Greetings Holger

Based on my researching on the PCI Vender ID, I would like to answer you that the device is related to NVIDIA chipset. Regarding the "PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge", it is just a system devices and there is no configurable settings for this component. For more information, please refer to the following article:PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridgeAt this stage, I suggest you upgrade your chipset driver and displayer adapter driver, and then test the issue again. Thanks,Novak

Hi, Based on my research, I suggest you upgrade your BIOS version for a test again. Meanwhile, please open Device Manager and right click the Network adapter's Properties. In "Power Management" tab, please clear the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" options and click OK. Please repeat the steps to clear all options for Keyboard and Mouse. Is the computer waken up automatically now? Thanks, Novak
