On startup, internet connection repair is automatically initialized.
Once windows xp has booted up, the network repair tool is automatically initialized. Although this does resolve any problems with the connection and i have now fixed the problem by going to Network connection properties - Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) then changing the option of obtaining an IP addresss automatically to a fixed IP, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway but why would the network repair tool automatically come up in the first place? Also i now have a current issue on the same desktop computer, on startup of the operating system the network connection has limited connectivity which i would usally just go into the network connections and repair the faulty connection but this time i clicked on Status - Support of the faulty connection which showed me that the IP and the default gateway were not only exactly the ssame but different from what they usally are. I can't replicate this problem at the moment but they were somthing like 254.255... instead of 192.168... but after about 5 minutes it just fixes itself, any help on why this happens would be appriciated.Additional InfoOS Windows XP, Home Edition, Version 2002, Server Pack 3Internet Via Ethernet1 person needs an answerI do too
