Hi cranny41, ·What is the service pack installed on your computer?·Do you remember any recent changes made on your computer prior to the issue?·Do you have any security software installed? Follow the below steps and check the results:a. Right-click on the icon for your wireless adapter in Network Connections and select Properties.b. Click the Wireless Networks tab.c. In the list of "Preferred networks" select the entry for your network and click the "Properties" button.d. Click the "Authentication" tab.e. Ensure that the box next to "Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network" is UNchecked.f. Restart the computer. I have a linksys wireless-B 2.4 GHz card and a linksys wireless routerAlthough it's possible that your problem is related to 802.1x as suggested by Samhrutha G and GTS-NJ, it seems to me more likely that you have a different issue.A Linksys wireless-B card is likely to be quite old and may not be capable of connecting to a router that uses the current wireless encryption standard (WPA2). So, if the suggestions in the other posts didn't help, please answer the following questions:1. Were you EVER able to connect wirelessly to this router using this adapter? If yes, did you make any recent changes to the router's configuration? If you have never been able to connect using this card:2. What is the model -- and version -- of your PC-card adapter? The WPC11 wireless-B card, for example, came in hardware versions 1.0, 2.5, 3.0, and 4.0 (look on the back/bottom of the card).3. When was the last time you updated the driver for your wireless card?4. What is the model and version of your Linksys router (look on the bottom)?5. What type of encryption have you configured in the router (none, WEP, WPA-PreShared Key, WPA2-PreShared Key, something else)? "PreShared Key" may be shown as PSK
