Thank you. Another thing: When I go into control panel and user accoutns: There is an account there I don't remember creating. I think it had to do witha windows update. It says ASP.NET Machine A... Limited Account, password protected. Can I explore this account as an administrator? I don't know what it is and want to delete it.

Hi Brian. This problem with the log in is linked to your Task Manager problem. Your welcome screen is disabled. As for the ASP.NET account it is nothing to worry about. I have this same account on my machine and it has never been accessed by anything. It is linked to a series of applications that allow developers to create and manage dynamic web sites and probably originated from a service pack or MS update. Maybe someone else can be more detailed in this area.If you think my answers are helpful please vote and mark as possible answer. Thank you.

I was created when .net 1.1 was installed. You can hide the account from the Welcome screen or if you don't work with asp.net development programming projects you can delete the account altogether. See here for more information:http://www.mvps.org/marksxp/WindowsXP/aspdot.phpJohn

If I delete this account: can it be recreated in future? I don't work with asp.net development programming. Don't know what that is. I'm reading the link though.
