Offline files remain greyed out after reconnecting to server
I'm running Windows 7 SP1. There is a Windows Server (not sure what version) in the office. When I'm in the office, I connect directly to the server. When I'm out of the office, I connect to the server using a VPN (CheckPoint SSL Network Extender). I have
several folders from the server mounted on the laptop. One is my protected home directory which is set up with group policies. The other folders are public.
I've been trying to use Offline Files to keep selected folders from my home directory available on my laptop when I'm not connected to the network. Unfortunately, I have found Offline Files to be very unreliable. I normally put the computer to sleep going
to and from the office. I don't reboot unless I have to, which lately has been often due to the problems I've been having using Offline Files. Often when I resume my computer at home and connect to the VPN or even in the office on the network, the offline
files in my home directory remain greyed out. Occasionally, after a random period of time (minutes or hours), the files become available. The other folders work fine. Almost without exception, they become available immediately when I connect to the VPN or
directly to the network. When I'm in the office and reboot, the home directory becomes available. Sometimes when I'm not in the office the offline files become available after I reboot and reconnect to the VPN, but frequently even after a reboot, the offline
files do not become available.
I have tried disabling and renabling offline files. I have also tried reformatting the CSC. I've also tried disconnecting the home directory which automatically reconnects when I log on. Nothing has resolved the problem. I have found that if I
have Offline Files disabled, the home directory works the same as the other folders. The problem seems to be a combination of the group policies and the Offline Files.
I've talked to the IT department numerous times and there have not been any suggestions. I'm hoping someone here has some suggestions.

Hi,
May I know if you have checked if the Offline status of the folder and what is it?
They may encounter synchronization problems when working online. You could check the Sync Center to see if there are any sync conflicts.
You could also disable the configure slow-link mode policy to see if you could access the offline file.
What's New in Offline Files
