Offline files Sync
We are looking at copying the users files to a local file server to make synchronisation quicker and then point the laptop to that location and enabling offline files, once we have done
that and the laptop has a cached copy of the files we are looking to point the location to another server at a different site.
The question I have is if we do this will the cache know it already has the files or will it need to recreate them cause the original location has changed.

Hi,
I suggest you clear the different site on the server and re-sync again.
Here is one guide can referred to.

Hi Ivan
Thanks for the reply, but what I am trying to understand is if we copy the files from a remote file server to a file server local to the user and then create the sync using the user file local
server and let the sync run so it caches the files on the windows 7 machine, if we then point the windows 7 device back to the original remote server, will windows 7 be clever enough to know it already has a cache of these files or will it try to re cache
them because we have change the location of the server.
Steve.

Hi,
Here is FAQ about sync center, and the topic of "What's the difference between on-way and two-way sync?" would help you.
