This relates to Windows 7 RTM, so not a beta issue. The user has made a folder available offline, when heviews a folder on the file serverthe date last modified is not updated, i.e. if another user updates a file he does not see the changes. This kind of implies that while he is on the company LANhe is actually working offline? However, at the top of the explorer window he has the option to "work offline".I have seen a previous post relating to SAN's, is it possible that this problem is being caused by the NetApp filer? Anyone else with a NetApp filer also having issues with offline files?In short... the user is not getting a"read only" warning when opening files, i suspectthis is due to the file being opened from his offline cache even when he is on the LAN.
